Climate & Circular Economy

EU and donor-funded projects for climate and the circular economy.

We work on projects funded by the EU, the World Bank, GIZ and UN agencies, from design to final report, and help EU importers meet the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism with supplier data they can rely on.

What we do

EU and donor-funded projects are the core of our work. Supply chain climate compliance builds on the same discipline: reading the rules closely and reporting in a way that stands up to scrutiny.

01

EU and donor-funded projects

We join consortia as a partner or deliver assignments as a consultant, and contribute where projects most often struggle: design, delivery and reporting.

  • Consortium partnership
  • Project design and intervention logic
  • Work package leadership and management
  • Consulting assignments and service contracts under tenders
02

Supply chain climate compliance

For EU importers of CBAM goods who depend on emissions data from suppliers outside the EU.

  • Supplier emissions data collection
  • On-site checks at installations
  • Reporting-ready CBAM data packages
  • Supplier onboarding and follow-up
03

Circular economy standards From 2027

Support for organisations adopting the ISO 59000 family of standards on circularity.

  • ISO 59004 principles and framework
  • ISO 59010 business model transition
  • ISO 59020 circularity measurement

Across the project cycle

A strong project is decided long before the submission deadline and won or lost again during delivery. We contribute at every stage and share responsibility for the results.

1

Before the call

Choosing the right call or tender and the right partners saves months of effort later.

  • Call and tender analysis
  • Eligibility and fit checks
  • Partner identification
2

Building the proposal

Evaluators reward proposals where objectives, activities and budget tell the same story.

  • Intervention logic and objectives
  • Work plan, milestones and deliverables
  • Budget and resource planning
3

Delivery

Once the grant or contract is signed, the plan has to work in practice, on time and within budget.

  • Work package leadership
  • Coordination support
  • Monitoring and risk management
4

Reporting and results

Good reporting protects the budget; good dissemination makes the results last.

  • Technical and financial reporting
  • Indicators and impact evidence
  • Dissemination and exploitation

Focus areas

We concentrate on the themes where climate funding and regulation are moving fastest, and where we can add the most value to a project.

Circular economy

Keeping materials in use

Waste prevention, reuse and repair, circular product design and markets for secondary raw materials, from local pilots to value chain initiatives.

Industrial symbiosis

One company's waste, another's raw material

Connecting companies so that the waste, by-products, energy and water of one become inputs for another: mapping resource flows in industrial zones, matching partners and turning first exchanges into lasting arrangements.

Climate action

Mitigation and adaptation

Emissions reduction in industry and supply chains, carbon accounting, and practical adaptation measures for regions and businesses.

Green skills

People for the transition

Training, upskilling and cooperation between education providers and employers, so that new green jobs can be filled.

Sustainable food systems

Farm to fork

Lower-impact agriculture, food loss and waste reduction, and circular solutions for agri-food value chains.

CBAM: from reporting to real cost

The transitional phase is over. Since 1 January 2026, the emissions embedded in imported goods carry a price, and the quality of supplier data directly affects what importers pay.

The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism puts a carbon price on imports of cement, iron and steel, aluminium, fertilisers, hydrogen and electricity. EU importers must be authorised CBAM declarants and declare the emissions embedded in the goods they bring in each year.

Where reliable data from the producer is missing, default values apply. They are designed to be conservative, which usually means a higher bill. For many importers, the gap between actual and default emissions is where the money is.

The difficulty is that the data sits with installations outside the EU, often with limited experience of EU reporting rules. That is the gap we close.

What we deliver

  • Mapping of the importer's CBAM goods and the installations behind them
  • Emissions data collection from suppliers, following the EU methodology
  • On-site checks where the data needs to be understood, not just received
  • Consistent, documented data packages ready for the annual declaration and verification
  • A repeatable process for the following years, as the carbon price rises

How we work

Whether it is a proposal, a project report or a CBAM data package, the same principles apply.

Rules first

Every deliverable is built against the text of the call, the grant agreement or the regulation, not against a template.

Delivery in mind

We design projects that can actually be delivered, with realistic work plans, budgets and indicators from day one.

Plain reporting

Clear, traceable outputs that a project officer, an auditor or a customs authority can follow line by line.

About MUKO Global

MUKO Global is a European consultancy working on EU and donor-funded projects in climate and the circular economy. We join consortia as a partner or take on assignments as a consultant, and bring long experience of how publicly funded programmes are designed, delivered and reported.

The same knowledge of EU rules drives our second practice. Regulations such as CBAM move the burden of proof onto supply chains that often sit outside the EU, and we help EU importers close that gap with reliable data.

We are based in Estonia and work remotely with partners in Europe and beyond, travelling to partners and suppliers when the work calls for it.

Ownership of resultsWe share responsibility for what the project delivers.
Honest scopingWe say early when a call or a project is not the right fit.
Evidence over claimsNumbers we report can be traced to their source.
English and TurkishOur working languages.
